December 3, 2010If you could create a symbol for the main character in your IRB, what would it be and why? Be sure to include specific examples from your book to support your choice.
There is a symbol that can be created in my IRb, Chasing Orion, by Kathryn Lasky. The symbol I would choose would be the constallation Orion. The main character, Georgie Mason loves the stars and lives in a small town where 51 people have been diagnosed with Polio. She and her brother Emmett have just met their new next door neighbor, Phyllis whom is diagnosed. The symbol would mean hope for all the people who have Polio and understanding for Georgie and Emmmett.
